HVAC and Heating Systems

Shell and tube design is industry standard. Elge offers from 4″ to 36″ diameter shells, with tubing in copper, SS 304, SS 316, Cupro-nickel or admiralty brass.

Domestic Hot Water Systems

For high capacity systems where footprint is not an issue Elge offers shell and tube design in horizontal or vertical configuration. Steam to Water or Water to water.

Process Steam Heat Exchangers

Asphalt heaters, condensers, oil coolers, Fuel oil pre-heaters

INSTANTANEOUS HOT WATER HEATERS

Construction: A shell and tube heat exchanger with stainless steel tubes and tube sheet. Carbon Steel head and shell.

Counter/cross flow design with domestic water circulating upward through the coil and steam flowing downward through the shell.

Tappings: Factory fabricated of materials compatible with heat exchanger shell. Attach tappings to shell before testing and labeling.

NPS 2 and Smaller: Threaded ends according to ASME 81.20.1.
NPS 2-1/2 and Larger: Flanged ends according to ASME 816.5

HORIZONTAL OPTION – ECO H

Insulation: 2” thick fiberglass insulation complying with ASHRAE/IESNA 90.1, unless otherwise indicated, and suitable for operating temperature. Surround entire shell and nozzle except connections and controls.
Jacketing: Smooth metal jacket, removable of minimum 22 gauge material.
Temperature Control: Adjustable thermostatic valve capable of maintaining outlet-water temperature within 4 deg F of setting.
Domestic Hot Water Mixing Valve: Self Contained and self-regulated Hot Water mixing Valve with related piping.
Relief Valves: ASME rated and stamped for combination temperature and-pressure relief valves. Includes one or more relief valves with total relieving capacity at least as great as heat input, and include pressure setting less than working-pressure rating of heat exchanger.
Stand: Factory fabricated for floor mounting.
Piping: Water piping shall be constructed from non-ferrous materials with male copper pipe connections. All non-threaded connections shall be brazed. The brazing filler material will be SFA-5.8 and intended for use with potable water. Water inlet and outlet shut off valves shall be included for ease of maintenance, isolation and service.
